Preparation prior to paint application

Proper preparation is necessary to sustain a long-lasting paint. Prior to painting we will inspect the house to determine what preparation is necessary to get the most longevity out of the paint selected. During our consultation we will go over these factors in much more detail. Some examples of common concern are shown below.

What moisture level is acceptable to paint?
The maximum moisture content for any surface that is to be painted is 12-14%. ​
​Painting a surface that contains a higher level of moisture can lead to peeling and bubble problems.

Appropriate pressure washing to remove dirt, stains, spider webs, etc. may be necessary prior to applying paint can also lead to peeling and bubble problems.
